I have been out of the hymn for four or five years and just started back. I was thinking of adding a few challenges to help with muscle stamina and to keep things fun. I’m worried though about these interfering with my regular workouts and recovery. The challenges I’m considering are not high volume like the 10k push-up challenge . For example the push-up challenge I’m considering is one where you build up to being able to do 100 push-ups nonstop after a month. Also considering a similar one for sit-ups pull-ups etc. Will something like this be detrimental to my recovery and development?

You're fine. Frequency method body weight stuff is a good idea.

Everyone should be doing pullups and pushups frequently. You can do the frequency method - multiple small sets throughout the day - which will keep you from burning out.
