Zurich renewal

Does anyone know if Zurich has extended their sponsorship of the NOLA tournament? Also does anyone think there will ever a LIV event in NOLA?

I thought they extended it till 2028 or something. I don’t think you’ll see any tournament renewal announcements right now with all the uncertainty over what pro golf will like in the next 2-3 years. Regardless, Zurich is becoming a very popular event in the city and has had really great crowds. Especially with guys like McIlroy committing.
There’s been rumors of a LIV event in NOLA at either bayou oaks or English turn but nothing has ever materialized. Bayou oaks would require significant investment to the range and practice facilities which selfishly im all for.

Maybe branch out to LaTour. I am sure Trey has some Saudi connections to LIV Golf. But it would need some serious work and much larger club house…LOL.

They got rid of the doublewide and they are upgrading to a metal warehouse.

Some folks have told me that LIV would want the event in New Orleans proper, not the surrounding area.

I always had a chuckle at that odd choice for a temporary that became permanent club house for course that cost millions to build and maintain.
