Greens were damn near impossible to get a ball to check up. Played about a club short into each green.

They normally punch that early? Seems really early after the winter we just had.
Worked at LSU course in college and we use to punch in May.

quote:We got two weeks of mild weather in Feb and they jumped the gun. Cooler March and April with extended nights in the 40s and even some 30s meant no growth and no overnight water because algae. So here they are with extra hard greens that could be lost come June if they don't get something scheduled. Being BREC, it may not be in the budget. Or they could have planned for it, idk.

Beaver Creek made me think Magnolia Creek, which is a nice course in the Clear Lake area of Houston. I had them mixed up in my head, and was surprised by the "sorry" comment, implying the course was in poor shape.
Just a brain fart.

LaTour, Primo
Bedrock 76 with a 9 on 13 (par 5)
Placebeaux ( after a LaTour tee length fitting) 77 with a quad on 9 and double on 18
Bandit & White Cans smooth 92 with 18 three putts
AMO LLC 93
Team Placebeaux/Bandit + $ in the win column

Pelican point 1st time playing fun track course was dry, but greens still ran true. Fairways were hard n fast

Carter plantation. Good shape, some really good holes out there, but can post a good score if you keep it out of the trees. Never too crowded which is why I will drive from BR on a Saturday afternoon. Also practice facilities are solid.

I played beaver Friday
Greens were aerified this past Monday but it was the tiny holes and they had healed up pretty well.
Rest of the course was in really good condition as usual.
The greens were way greener than Greystone, but didn’t roll quite as well because of the holes. I heard some guys say last week that beaver was in rough shape, and I just don’t see it.
Started birdie, birdie and went on to shoot a smooth 82

No doubt. 18 is anticlimactic though.

The few that I was in had some good sand.
Like most places though, the lips of the bunkers, especially fairway bunkers, are not maintained as they should be, which leaves you some simply unfair lies when your ball rolls up to the front of the bunker.

Played a couple times this week. Really struggling with the putter. Anyone have any tips?
