I guess but when I think of drive and scramble courses I think of courses with less rough penalty where guys like Dechambeau and Rory just send it as far as they can and take a wedge out of the rough.

this course at least has a rough that discourages that strategy/makes it less effective.

Riveting analysis lol

It’s actually very accurate. At the U.S. Open many players hit good shots and make bad scores because of the ridiculous course setups.

U.S. Open is my favorite tournament, but Augusta is consistently the best major at finding the best player over 72 holes.

I think it's better to break par at Oakmont than shoot -15 at Hartford.

I'm not much of a golf fan, but here's how I see it.
A round of five under should mean you're absolutely scorching the golf course. If guys are shooting seven or eight under every day, the course is playing too easy.

It’s really simple and pretty elementary

There are pins where it is physically impossible to hit the ball within 30 feet in US Opens or where your ball lands in the middle of the fairway at cants down into the rough.

The only way to make pros shoot over par is just make fairways unhittable and pins nonaccessible

You should try watching a us open

Sounds like golfers need a better strategy then

Or just……hit better shots….crazy I know!
