RTJ's Oxmoor Valley the best bet? If so, which course of theirs?

Highland Park is a fun little course

Ross Bridge is a great course to play. Right near Oxmoor courses. It is better than the Oxmoor courses.

It's also a $140 green fee.

Ballantrae was in great shape a couple weeks ago. Bentbrook is solid.
If you want to drive out for the experience there is Farmlinks in Sylacauga. It has different grasses every third hole I believe.

He didn’t say anything about cheap. Also, it is not accurate to say the rate is $140. It ranges from $65 to $140.
It is worth more than $140. So if you got on for $65 you stole something.

Ballantrae and Timberline are great courses if you’re willing to drive 30 minutes down I-65. Fees are around $45. A quirky course that just reopened off Caldwell Mill Road called Heatherwood Hills is around $40. The 18th hole might have the narrowest fairway in town.

Heatherwood is not worth the $40 green fee. I think the entire course is poa annua.

Ross Bridge is better than OV Ridge course, but you wouldn't be disappointed with either.

I just read where Limestone Springs is the highest rated (golf digest) in the area and know one has yet to mention that one .
Anyone play there before? Overrated?

Just called Ross Bridge. They are booked solid until 2:30. Course must be legit.

Limestone Springs
I wouldn’t say it’s in the Birmingham area
It’s really nice, though.

Limestone Springs is very nice.
It has some elevation changes and should be very pretty this time of year. The have some cottages you can rent.

valley is a better layout than ridge, but the greens are old bermuda (though ridge is old bent) ... both should be in decent shape now, though ...
