Anybody ever play in one of these? Worth the money? I see it has huge numbers for payouts but also about 1/4 of the field gets something.

I played in the Horseshoe Bay one a couple years ago. It was a decent deal at the time, but it's very expensive now. There's not a lot of transparency as far as payout breakdown, which leads me to believe he's pocketing some cash.

Ours was all 2 man scramble, but I think he incorporates shamble at times. Our tournament was 3 rounds and no handicaps. He flighted after the 2nd round.

So you're saying the organizers aren't doing this out of the goodness of their hearts?
