I was watching as well and thinking back that I remember watching this live back in like 2000. Didn’t Hal basically say he wasn’t intimidated at all by Tiger and he could beat him and then went out and did it when literally the rest of the Tour fizzled when Tiger was in the hunt? Very ballsy and pretty sure elevated Sutton to legend status in my book.

I watched it and enjoyed it. I remember watching it live and feeling bad for Montgomerie, guy had such a great swing to never win in the US.
