Playing my first 36 in a while today with a 2 hour break between to catch end of the open.
How do yall approach multiple rounds? Hit less balls before first 18? Hit in between to work on something from first 18?
Trying not to collapse on back of second 18 like I did last time. Thanks

36 is rookie numbers. Played in a fund raiser at Ft. Polk once, 10 rounds in one day, and it wasn't even DST.

Hopefully you started hydrating last night. I use LMNT before during and after when playing multiple rounds in a day and weekend.

Short range session in the morning, limit practice swings, be sure to eat something between rounds, only putt before second round.

During the summer, change clothes between rounds. Everything…socks and underwear included.
Eat a couple bites of something light every few holes. I prefer cashews.
Drink plenty of water. I use electrolyte sticks when it’s really hot.

I played 54 consecutive holes Friday. Drink plenty of water, relax, and don't swing hard. Stay in the shade as much as possible.

I walked 45 a day in college.
You don’t change anything for your first 18, hit enough to get loose, go play.
Eat something between 18’s, if it’s more than 30 minutes go putt a few at least before heading to the tee. If you’re hitting balls between rounds you’re fisked because you’re not sure what to do because you’re still thinking about the first 18

If you’re walking put Boudreaux’s before the round and keep it in the bag. That was the first thing I checked in college with the usual 36 hole first day tournaments

I played 36 for the first time ever this past Friday. Santa Maria am then Beaver Creek pm. Range time before first round followed by lots of beer throughout and a glizzy at the turn.
Scarfed down a Walk Ons buffalo chicken wrap on the way to Beaver. Swapped to high noons and proceeded to shoot a career best PR of 82.
Follow that to a tee and see what happens.

Definitely keep the warm up on the lighter side. I'd also say you don't expect it but having an outfit that is top tier comfortable is crucial. Back nine on your second 18 is gnarly if anything is rubbing into you. Had to switch out some golf shoes for this reason, and I swapped out all of my leather belts for Trono Belts to avoid any discomfort on the course.

Thank you. That is the dumbest thing currently in golf.
