Love that play when it’s available, but she having to chip directly up a hill with a green sloping away from you into a bunker it’s not always available
If the hill is cut close and not deep rough, the same shot works just fly it into the hill face. If you play the same course frequently once you have the feel it can be a great shot, especially for the ones you have no shot at getting it close flying the ball onto the green.

I really appreciate the advice, I’m not trying to be rude….
I agree a low lofted shot or putter, even into the hill face, is the best option. I choose that shot as frequently as possible, putter swing with an 8 iron etc…..
What I’m looking for is advice on the times where you have to hit a more finesse shot off of the rock hard lie. You’ve gotta hit it in the air, or you’ve got to spin it etc.

Weight on your left foot, hands in front of the club head at impact, low backswing and shallow swing arch ;do not come in steep. Your pitch will have a low repeatable flight.

Like someone else said, get a wedge with low or no bounce.
Order a Wilson wedge with 64 degrees of loft from the golf warehouse for 30 dollars. Grind the bounce off.
One guy at our club ground an old 54 degree wedge to virtually no bounce.

I have a 60 with no bounce that is ground for those situations, I need to use it more

Not knowing your game, but chances are the risky shot will be a net negative long term for scoring vs the safer shot.

I mean, obviously. Sometimes you have to take the risk, unless you advise intentionally chipping into bunkers or off the green?

If you play golf in north Texas you know what I’m talking about. We get these lies around the green that may as well be concrete, you cannot use the bounce of the club because the ground does not give at all so the club just bounces up into a skull or it grabs the club and you chunk it.
I live in houston so i feel you, the greens are either soft as a sponge or rock hard.
I have a 54 degree with a ton of bounce and a 58 degree with almost no bounce for this very reason. I'll also get creative and use the texas wedge and my pitching wedge for hard days
