Thoughts on hitting nets for backyard?

Has anyone here purchased or used a net to practice at home? Wondering if it's worthwhile. Seemed a good alternative to not making it to the range.
if so, suggestions on products?

I’ve thought about it but unless you’re just a bad striker and want repetition (you can feel if you make good strikes consistently) I’ve always thought it would just reinforce bad habits if you have them because you can’t see the ball flight. If you fight a slice, hook, or whatever then practicing the swing that produces that miss over and over is just going to make things worse not better. And with a net there is no way to know if you’re hitting the miss over and over or actually getting better. Just my two cents though.

That makes sense.
I am just so bad at consistently hitting the ball. I thought it may help me get used to the swings and contact. Work on form with video if needed.

Bad idea. You could be grooving a bad swing and not know it.

Haack Golf net
I have this one, so far so good. Nice to hit some shots while grilling or watching the kids play in the backyard.

My wife bought me a Callaway one years ago, but I hardly use it for the reasons mentioned. You can't tell much about the ball flight from it.
Plus I don't have a hitting mat. And my wife bitched about the divots in the backyard lol

It comes in handy to use as a swing analyzer. You can setup iPad on tripod to record yours swings and make sure arms in proper arm slots. Same thing with clubface

A net is good if you’re combining it with slow motion video to work on positions or a launch monitor. Like a previous poster said, if you can’t see ball flight you might be ingraining a swing flaw.

I think hitting off mats at a range is actually worse than hitting off grass/dirt into a net. Hitting off mats into net is double bad
