Includes family pool access for those summer months. I certainly don’t think it’s overpriced at that amount. But I play it a couple times a week. Too convenient for me.

The Island is $200 a month (going to $225). Includes cart and range. Better courses around but it is a good deal imho.

That’s a steal with cart and range, Greystone not so much for the quality of courses in the area with similar rates based on age, but with BR traffic I understand the need for location.

Better courses where? The Island would kill it on this side of the river as a public or semi private course.

CCL has a membership drive going that’s a steal for baws under 40, BRCC usually runs one the same this time of year, UClub not sure.

That is a great price. If people think it isn’t then BREC and LSU have genuinely ruined golf for us.

Atchafalaya and Carter are around the same drive for me as the island and I prefer their layouts but The Island is not a bad place and the price is great. Now throw in LaTour with the Island membership rate and that place would be jammin.

What type of deal are you hearing?

Interesting timing considering current members are getting hit with a huge recently passed renovation bill. I know a few long time members that are fed up and leaving.

Would much rather be a member at CCL than BRCC even though condition wise the course is better at BRCC. CCL is a true country club.

The new deal at Pelican is to attract more plant workers who can play in the afternoon to generate more sales in the bar and restaurant.

Yea, I'm interested in that response as well. Especially in light of the rumored special assessments...

How is BRCC not a real country club?

If you know a member who would sponsor you to get in then they should have the info you are requesting, I’m not going to blast it on here when I’m not a member there, but it’s a great deal imo for the under 40 crowd.

I don't think they are rumored. I have played out there and you get what you pay for. It is amazing.

I guess this is the time to get into CCL because the recent assessment had some people leave. 15k punch in the gut for full members and 7500 for JR members across the board.

UC does not need any membership drive, IMO to many golf members currently. Puts to much pressure on the course.

Nothing confuses me more than this. $15k / $7.5k is a punch to the gut to people that are already paying $750 per month in dues? If I were in CCL then $15k / $7.5k would be peanuts to me. What kind of bad financial decisions are people making where they are scraping by to make CCL payments?
