Yeah that’s the plan. Initially I thought I had 2 nights but that’s only if I book in the middle of the week apparently. So just staying Sunday which is fine as I can still play somewhere Monday. Just really depends on how much “fun” I have Sunday.

It doesn’t get a lot of love here, but every time I’ve played it, I enjoyed myself.

We are playing there tomorrow morning. My old man lives not far from there and we originally had a tee time at Golden Nugget but decided to go Contraband because of the Nugget's course condition.

He says Contraband is in pretty good shape right now. Not a bad layout either.

Hit range balls there since the Golden Nugget course doesnt have a driving range. Looking at the conditions from the range and driving by it looks to be in great shape. How does that turn out as on course conditions, hopefully it plays as well as it looks.

I’m here to update my round from Thursday. I’m a 15 handicap, had 1 triple and 1 double on the front, shot an 83 total. I really enjoyed the layout. I think off the tee the course can be difficult because it forces you to clear bunkers, go in between, etc. Basically, you have to be very efficient off the tee. I felt the par 3’s were overall extremely easy (although my triple came on a par 3).

However, I hit the ball better than I’ve ever hit. My driver and irons were so so pure all day...but it doesn’t matter when half the greens are impossible to 1 putt outside of 6 feet. There are probably 3 greens that are in almost unplayable shape, then there are about 10 that are just very very average to below average, then there are 5 or so which are pretty good to very good. I got a “twilight rate” at 2:15 for $75 so I didn’t care about some of the greens. The course is fun, I really enjoy the scenery, the fairway and rough were fantastic...I wouldn’t pay $125+ right now, though.
