I teed off on the Highlands course at 2:30 pm on Thursday afternoon. Plenty of time to catch 18 holes. These motherfrickers star pinging the carts at 5:15 which is over an hour before it gets dark now. Is there a rational reason they do this? I know Stevens Park does this in the summer when it’s after 9 but that seems reasonable considering the employees shift are ending. I’d recommend going elsewhere until the relax their hard cut off time. It’s such a fun back 9 but their customer service makes it unbearable.

Lol I had a long thread on here a few months ago about this exact same situation and the guys being huge jerks about it.
Also another a few weeks ago when they double charged me and my buddy for bringing our toddlers to ride with us.
Basically their customer service is horrible and I personally won’t be playing there for awhile until they figure it out

Yeah if I have that much daylight left I’m parking the cart and walking the rest of the way. What are they gonna do?

Go play cedar crest, rough area but overall a better layout imo and customer service I never had a problem with.

My guess is Cedar Crest isn’t as crowded too. I’m absolutely staying away from Tennison for a while. CC has rough greens sometimes but other than that it is a better course overall and they have a grass range. Irving is another one I frequent. I’ve been out as late as 6:30 in the middle of the dark using glow in the dark balls with no issues from management.

100% this
Used to play a shite ton of twilight rounds there when I lived in Dallas and their staff was great about it. Good beer bucket prices too

Agreed, one thing I never understood about Cedar Crest is they sell you beers in glass bottles, most courses don’t do that

I played 32 holes at Cedar Crest yesterday for the price of 1 round and they let us play in the dark. The greens are rough but a small sacrifice to get an entire 18 in during the afternoon.

I've always been loyal to Cedar Crest over Stevens/Tenison. Great staff, grass range, no GPS carts, fun layout, and relatively quick rounds compared to the other munis.

Screw the Dallas munis. Go to Pecan Hollow in Plano.
