Other manufacturers do not take the same pride as Mizuno or Mirua do in material sourcing or forging. Always on the leading edge of both material and forging techniques, if not developing new ones for other OEM's to copy.

Mizuno also doesn't make "tour" issue anything. All irons played by staffers is = to OTR. Other OEM's have to make tour issue in order to satisfy the tour pro needs.

Titleist, etc or all producing the same amount of product?

Holla at me when Titleist puts out 12 different models of irons in 3 years.

That’s a complaint I’ve heard about taylormade for years. They are so mass produced

I don't see how that matters.. You actually think some guy at Titleist is sitting there handmaking your irons one by one with a little apron on?

They are all "mass produced"

Maybe at Mizuno, Miura, PXG, Bridgestone, and Srixon, if you like endo forgings then snag some forged Callaway irons, TaylorMade is a joke, cracked crowns, faces, and the 790’s feel like shite.

The end

If I fly out to Carlsbad to the Vokey Experience and I can watch Bob Vokey grind and stamp and build my wedges and do a full bag fitting and I choose their irons while there then yes I expect them to be on the numbers I was fit for the next day.

Feel is subjective. I've owned some taylormade stuff in the past, and I agree, the quality has suffered in the recent years, but I am a big fan of the 790 feels.

I also felt that the PXG's felt dead. So, goes to show you what feel is to one can be the opposite to another.
