Our tour championship is there this coming weekend. Three-day tourney. Has anyone played it lately? What kinda condition is it in?
I've never played it before, any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Haven't played their since June but our tour Ryder cup is there at the beginning of October. I don't have any doubts it'll be in great shape.
I started the thread Axl linked above last year because I had never been. Every time I have been since then it has been in at a minimum of good shape. most of the time very good.
A challenging but fair layout. I would say it favors a cut/fader. If it rains, which i'm not sure it does that in Louisiana anymore, the course does hold a good bit of water, but I doubt that'll be an issue.

Interesting. First time hearing of this. Ever played on the Golfweek AM Tour? That's the one I play on. Eagle tour seems similar just less participation. We normally have 120 player fields.
I know quite a few guys that are on that Eagle tour leaderboard. One of them was our A flight captain last year.

Our first tournament was in March. This is the last tournament of the season this coming weekend. He is doing a fall series too.
Yea its definitely smaller than the golf week. I enjoyed it. Its the first time i've ever play competitive golf and is way different than just playing with the boys. I really wanted to know where I stood and where my golf game was and it definitely showed me.
I won one of the tournaments in my flight at the Farm in Lafayette and went to a playoff for first at Ellendale.

Good to hear.. and yeah that's why i want to do it.. Playing with the guys on the weekends is good times.. But I really want to see where i'd be more locked in than I normally would be.. And I've never played true tournament golf either.. Been watching my daughter do it for 4 years.. Figured now she's off to college I'd like to give it a shot..

Won it and got to go to Hilton Head for the LAVA Cup a couple times. Quit playing once I started coaching. Not enough time and wasn't able to go to HH. I saw a post about it this week that made me laugh. 14 shot turnaround from day 1 to 2 for someone to win whatever division the guy posted. SSDD.

This is my second year and it’s the first time I’ve ever seen someone come back from anything bigger than a 4 shot lead in a two day. In a top flight at least. Cypress Bend had the course set up like the pga tour was playing the us open there. Balls were being lost constantly a few feet off the fairway. Had balls being lost in greenside rough. Pins that were just ridiculous. Add in the 105 feels like temp and the fact everyone is amateurs, it’s not surprising big numbers were in play for everyone.
My GHIN had a 2 stroke PCC adjustment, which is the first time I’ve ever seen that.

I played labor day weekend. I was very disappointed. The greens were ok, but the fairways were all completely burnt, like the messed up the fertilizer.
