Plan on playing one of these Memorial Day. I've played both in the past, both very nice.

Anyone played these courses lately?

Where do you live? It’s 4 hours drive between those two courses.

I had some friends play Oak Harbor last week and was bragging about how great shape it is from tee to green. I played Tamahka last year and of course it was wet and the bunkers were unplayable. I like the layout but to me that place holds water for a while. I hope someone reports it is in good shape so I can make a trip back out there.

I'm in Denham Springs. I've driven to both courses, about the same amount of time.

Tamahka is one of my favorite La public courses when in good condition.

I'd say Tamaka would be less crowded on Memorial Day.

I'm playing Tamaka on Sat. Will advise on course conditions

Played Tamahka today. Fairways and greens were very nice.

Bunkers were no good. Worth the trip IMO

Oak harbor has been my home course off and on since i was a teenager. The new owner is much better than the last but it’s time for people to understand something about Oak Harbor. It’s never gonna be what it once was. Greens roll true but are horrendously slow and hairy, fairways are rock hard, the traps are concrete and you probably need to take a drop put of them. The layout imo is one of the best. But I’m not paying 50 bucks for a course in that shape.
