Just looking.

Played AVX today.

You should read this 2019 golf ball test from MyGolfSpy. You might be surprised about what ball you should be playing. Soft = Slow was a big theme that came out of their findings. As was to ignore how the ball “feels” I think they’re going to release an update for 2023 soon

Thanks for the link.

I prefer the urethane covers for short game, but I like lower compression.

I’m looking at TM tour response as a possibility.

Is that the overly large ones?? B/c I found one on the course and thought it was a bit odd..

Tour Response is a good ball. I played them the last year or so before switching to the TP5 recently. I thought the feel was great and enjoyed using them.

You may be thinking of the Callaway Magna. It is slightly larger but still legal.

I enjoyed super soft everywhere but 75 yards in.

You looking to lower the price point?

Is the AVX your preferred ball? It’s a low trajectory, low spin ball. If you’re looking to replace that with a lower price point ball, the Srixon Q Star Tour is the go to budget AVX replacement at about $30-$35 a dozen. I’d give those a try if your looking for that type of performance at an easier to swallow price.
