Shot 102 this weekend, and was insanely frustrated. Going get lessons... 4th round back after a severe back injury, my body can't tolerate the violent swing I've had in the past, I and I don't know how to swing other than hard. Any recs on lessons in the Nola area?

I've done golftec In Metairie and used Bobby at city park. Two different techniques, Bobby is more old school no data just feels. Golftec more data driven. Bobby is very affordable and many people on here vouch for him.

I'm going to agree. At least for me. The level of "pissed-offedness" that I would reach if I were playing that poorly would result in me not finishing the round and probably wrapping several clubs around a tree or something.

How many 3 putts?

How many 2 chips\2 pitches?

How many penalties?

Did you make a par?

Keep working at it. You will improve.

Here is some facts :

According to their statistics, 55% of golfers break 100. Here is the breakdown according to their study: Average score: Under 80 – 5%Oct 20, 2020

Break 100:

1. Work on putting until you only 3 putt once per 9.
2. Work on chipping and pitching until you only have one two chip per 18.
3. Keep the ball in play.

A series of lessons may help you jump start.

Lesson 1: putting
Lesson 2: chipping
Lesson 3: full swing

Also pick up at triple no matter what. You are not gaining any skill playing the ball out to quintuple bogey or whatever. The handicap system caps all players at net double anyway.
I guess you could pick up at quadruple bogey and get a handicap index.

You can get better quickly.
Just need to learn to advance the ball toward the target.
Also play up on the forward tee until you can break 100 there.
When you break 90, move back a tee IF you want to.
