Believe it or not - fastest greens I’ve ever played - been playing 35 years. At least 12 on stimp. Very difficult from tips. Some PO-Anna in greens, they are not perfect but fast as hell.... bunker sand good, slow as shite pace cuz only decent public course around ....

EDIT TO ADD - greens are brown so maybe too much weed killer / could possibly be dirt in a few weeks but PO Anna still will be green

They might have just scalped them and that + the dryness is why they're so fast.

I hit a 4 iron into the #3 green, I got a hold of it, landed about hole high and it rolled all the way to the back fringe.

ETA: flagstick was front right.

I played there 2 weeks ago. They definitely have them rolling faster than I have ever seen there. Course was in pretty decent shape.

Faster doesn't mean better.

At a public course, I don't want 6 hour rounds because the amateur golfer can't handle the speed of greens.

I want that turnstile moving. 4.5-5 hour rounds. Keep it spinning.

Even 5 hours is too much.

Played it on Saturday.
Greens are fast, but I'd say they are about normal for SM.
Did have a few of the cold weather grass spots making the greens a little bumpy, but that's really the only criticism.

The recent dry spell has helped mitigate the heavy rain issues from the last 4-6 months.
- Bunkers are nice and sandy.
- Carts aren't cart path only.
- Drives don't just plug, and now roll out some.

I saw several 4-5 iron shots hit and hold the green. For example: 4, 8, 13.

We finished in 4.5 hours. Noone was behind us.
