PXG currently has their PXG 0311 XF GEN5 drivers on sale for $199 (+$30 for shipping). I know they arent known for their woods but was wondering if any of yall have hit the Gen5s and get your opinion on it. For $199 its hard to pass up especially since i've been in the market.

Get fit for it at CCL TPC or The Oaks, with the shaft options and adjustable weights, a custom fit $200 driver is a very hard deal to beat

I haven’t but the driver, but I like the Gen 5 fairways. For $199, I would give it a shot

I have the O811 Prototype that went for even cheaper earlier in the year. For the $ you can't beat it. Drivers are so damn expensive right now.

The XF model is very forgiving like the Ping driver.

The shaft is the key to get it to pop.

After going through the reviews, I retract my previous statement. It seems like this driver leaves a lot to be desired in terms of distance.

The X model is the longer of the two.

If I can get it to go 275 total and hit fairways 7 out of 10 times I'll be happy. I'm not a long player by any means.

Last year's Cobra LTDx is a lot better and a longer hitting driver than the Gen 5.

And it's discounted too.

I want to get another one, but I want a 43 or 44 inch shaft.

Is there a site where I can specify shaft length, flex, etc?

I went to Cobra , but I could not find the spec options.

PXG makes great irons, their woods and drivers suck. I purchased the full set special a few years back and traded in my woods after one round.
