The fantastic people of Maui that have been dedicated to tourism have lost so much in this fire. Imagine having to jump into the ocean to escape the fire.
The Village of Lahaina gone where Kimo's, Lele, Cheesburger in Paradise and other great establishments where you could dine after a great day of golf and the beach.
Of course golf is secondary to the devastation this fires have brought to islanders lives and property. 35 souls lost at this time.
My wife and I love Maui, we have been many times. I wonder about the courses of Makena, Kaanapali, Kapalua.
Such artistry should not be burned.

I bought a pair of Olukai golf shoes yesterday, because they were donating 100% of sales to relief efforts.

I have heard good things about them.

The Wai'alea in white. I'm currently wearing basically the same shoes sans spikes while in the office. They are super comfortable, so I expect the golf version to be just as great.

I know a guy over there that’s been using his earthwork equipment the past two days to cut fire breaks and running his water truck 24/7 for free. He finally got to go check his house out and it burned down. Terrible all around.
