Kind of had to have a new driver, since I sold mine, and our Club Championship starts Friday.

Anyways, bought one, hit it yesterday evening, and I am hooked. So much easier to get in the air, and the distance is incredible.

Gonna buy me another one whenever the next greatest Ping driver comes out.

I realize this is subjective, but I think that it is hands down one of the easiest, longest drivers to date.

What shaft you got in yours?

I've had the itch for a while. May have to pull the trigger.

Just the stock Alta... I've got a Tour AD Orange shaft I was gonna throw in it... but the way the ball reacted yesterday evening, I don't think I am going to change right now.

DEW IT

I'm telling you... I hit a ball off the heel yesterday, that went as far as a solid drive with my Rogue.

Isn't the Ping G400 Max supposed to be better though?

I'm thinking of selling my Rogue SZ head since the shaft is cracked and trying the G400 LST or Max.

I'd do it. I have the Matrix White Tie in mine (similar profile I think to the Tour AD DI) and I picked up a good bit more roll out. The Alta launched it high, but I used to have my ball sitting a foot in front of the divot. Carry was great, but roll out was not. YRMV

I tried so hard to like the g400's because this board loves them. I kept grabbing it and hitting it over and over. I just could not hit it as well as the M2.

Different strokes.

I'd still have my Epic SZ if I hadn't cracked it. But my Rogue SZ is better paired with the hand crafted EvenFlow.

I had the same set up and sold it... the 9* Rogue SZ with the Blue Even Flow... like I said, I have only hit my new G400 a hand full of times, so it may just be beginners luck... but I had to make a switch, due to lack of confidence in the Rogue.

Had a driver fitting at PGA superstore last Friday and hit the G400 and the max for about an hour, the max feels light for the size and has a great sound to it. My spin rate on the 9 degree was way to high though and it was killing my distance. Was flying it about 230-240 with an average head speed around 103.

I was hitting the M3 way longer, 250-260 and the ball flight was much lower. That’s for my swing though and I can see why some people love the G400s. It’s definitelt a smooth swinging club that feels and sounds great when you connect.

I'm not advocating one over the other. I've heard good things about the ping. I hit everything when I get a chance, but I've found that demoing means nothing without the right shaft and setup. My EvenFlow is a stiff but it's tipped an inch. Not really "rare" but something that's difficult for me to test in other clubs. I also have a Tensei CK Blue in X-stiff that comes close but it's not quite as smooth.

Tried out a Rogue SZ with the EvenFlow Blue 75 S and really struggled to hit it. I also couldn't tell where I was hitting it on the face even though I know I was all over the face, which was strange. I am going to have to go see Bhudda soon for a proper fitting.

What kind of ball flight do you get with it? I've been thinking about buying a new driver but havent pulled the trigger yet.
