Discussing going a guys golf trip next year in the May time frame. I know other than #2, #4 is considered the other must play.
Curious as to what others have experienced in terms of courses, accommodations and costs.

Condos are convenient especially for large groups. #8 is a fun layout and #9 is the Nicklaus course with different greens and lots of dogleg rights. You should also try to get on at Pine Needles and Tobacco Road. Both are just as fun/better than #2. I actually liked #4 better than #2. You can get a caddy for those two courses as wel (talking #2 and #4)l. Highly recommend that. They're helpful and often fun to chatter with.

I liked #8 a lot, but I'm a big fan of Fazio courses.

Only played 2 and 3.
2 is obviously a great experience to play. Get a caddie and walk. Worth it.
3 is like the little brother to 2. Very fun but shorter course. Would play again.
We did Vrbo so can’t book courses far in advance. But there was just two of us so we got onto #2 easily. It was late October so maybe play was a little less than normal.
Also Tobacco Road is a must play if you are in the area. IMO

There are some other really good reviews on this board.
I went with 3 other guys in 4/21; played 2, 8 and 9 as well as the Cradle. It surpassed my very high expectations and we will definitely go back.

Play the Cradle too. It’s fun. We stayed at the Holly and had no problems with shuttles. Great 4 days for us and would do it again without question.
