I have used NBC Sports Gold since it was required - but willing to try it on my Amazon prime membership of the platform is better.

I did the free trial with amazon then kept it for a couple months while I was working from home. No complaints. Stream worked fine. Perfect background noise while worked.
No experience with NBC one to tell you if there’s any difference.

I did it monthly during peak golf season and it functioned flawlessly.

I would go with Amazon prime. I had it on NBC and it was a hastle because not every smart TV had the NBC sports app but every tv has amazon prime app.
