U would have to know the noon group to understand that situation. They play fast on purpose.

Is it the hack in around on the fairway and when they get it on the green they all just hit putts as fast as they can and pick up 4 footers?

I was a member there for a little over a year and just got out.

Members are mostly older. The links course is impossible to play on between the hours of 7:30-12 because the older members that play everyday control those times. Weekend tee times on the links course pretty much have to be booked 7 days in advance. Noon tee times are reserved everyday for the “noon group” so you are pretty much left with only playing in the afternoons.

With the older members also comes slower play. The course is always backed up and will take 4:30+ just to get through a round. Just hope you do not get stuck behind the daily ladies group. It takes them 30 minutes just to finish one hole.

Practice facility wise, if it sprinkles they will close the driving range for a day or two. They have one green that can be used for chipping practice and a nice green behind the club house for putting.

^ this is why I wont join out there. If I get 5+ hours, I'll go play it, but the layout just isnt worth the price +[ slow pace of play.

Can't speak to the Links course, but I walked 18 at the Lakes (with 2 others) in less than 3 hours Saturday morning. Going through my Golf Logix app, it appears the longest it took me to walk 18 in the last 3 months was 3:16. In the interest of full disclosure, sometimes I don't open the app until I'm walking down the first fairway after my opening tee shot. But we're literally talking a couple minutes here.

I can't stand slow play, and I walk exclusively.

Hope the slow players stick to the Links side.

The lakes course on the weekends is usually a shite show.. It is mostly people who play golf once every 2 years and don’t want to pay the price to play the links.

What time do you play? Rarely do we encounter any real problems starting between 8:00 and 9:00. Sometimes we have to wait for a group to finish teeing off on the 1st when we finish the 9th hole, but that's about it.
