There is, or was, a poster/plaque in the men's locker room near the first tee talking about the 7th hole, specifically mentioning how much the wind can impact club selection on that hole. It gave the example of Nicklaus hitting sand wedge and up to a 5 iron (while yelling GO!) depending on the wind. It's like 110 yards.

2nd shot on 6 is the most intimidating shot ever for me from right side of fairway.

Shane Lowry is 6 under on the day and only behind Rory for the tournament lead. (Another guy that is accustomed to this weather)
