Heading down for a warm Christmas.

Ritz is $345, is that worth it?

Orange County has 2 18s, panther lake and crazy cat or whatever. Much cheaper.

What say you fellas?

Go down with a group of 8 every December and play down around Melbourne/ Viera. Went up that way and played Northshore Golf Club a few years back. Really enjoyed it. Tough but fair track.

Panther lake is a really fun course. I've never played the Ritz, but OCN is a nice Florida course.

I’ve played Magnolia and Palm they’re good.

My favorite was Eagle Pines, they merged it and Osprey Ridge into one, not sure what it’s called

Eagle Pines WAS a great course. They merged it with Osprey for a while an then Sheraton Resorts bought the property and I'm pretty sure it is guest only.

Tranquillo, they playe(d) the Diamond Players Tournament there.

$345? No.
If you want and can spend that kind of money, go to Streamsong. 3 top 100 courses. I have only played the Blue. Great course and top-rated facilities.

Waldorf Astoria on Disney property.
Orange County National (both courses)
Shingle Creek
I really like Eagle Creek, better than Shingle, but that's just me.
Southern Dunes
Mission Inn - El Campeón. Site of NCAA championships
Grand Cypress - New Course
Falcon's Fire
Champions Gate (National and International)
Reunion Resort Courses

This is "assuming" that they are all in their normal great shape.

Rumor is they are closing Mag for renovations, so check Disney for that. Personally like Lake Buena Vista Course (LBV) better. Palm is easiest. Mag is tougher. LBV eats me up, but I love the layout.

You can get better golf than the Ritz in Orlando for $345.

Mikedatyder's list is as good as any.

Winter Park 9 deserves a mention.

Personally I would suggest OCN or Championsgate.

If you can stay a night at Bay Hill and play there I would also toss that into consideration.

Next week is still in limbo with deadlines. I'm "scheduled" to be off, but that doesn't always work out.
Thanks.

Great courses. Great shape. Fairways and greens were immaculate.

Great facility for the price.

Panther was my favorite.

AWESOME!
Weather is perfect. Glad you liked it.
I agree. Panther is my favorite too. Tough course for my eye, but actually shot 74 on it once. It got it's revenge the next. Golf gods always do!

I need to get out there. I’m only 30 minutes away but never head to that side of Orlando.
