So it was your cousin?

Surely since your profile is jgoodw you must be related to John Goode

Bumping this thread… anyone played here in the last couple of weeks?

Got a buddy wanting to play this weekend and believe I’d rather go there on a Sunday morning because it is usually slow.

Really don’t want to go to one of the more crowded courses… Querbes, Huntington or Northwood.

My “home” course here lately has been Meadowlake in Keithville…So course conditions really aren’t a high priority for me… Lol

I was just wanting an update if anyone has been out there lately.

I live out there. It's not in good shape but it is better than it was earlier in the year.

The greens are at least puttable now and way better than early in the year.

If course conditions aren't a priority I'd say yall will have fun. The rough is the worst part right now because they have had some broken equipment the past month so it's not getting cut as much.

Traffic will be light so you'll like that aspect. Certainly won't be waiting on shots.

Appreciate the update… I guess I’ll just have to try and keep it in the fairways as much as possible.

Played Olde Oaks yesterday morning(teed off at 7:40). Had a single go off before us and we played at a quick pace.

The weather was awesome…could not have picked a better day to play. “Cool” front came through Saturday afternoon and it got down to 69° and the humidity was nil…literally didn’t sweat at all the entire round.

Whole fleet of new carts(at least they looked new)

Tee boxes, fairways and greens were mowed appropriately(greens slow as usual). Would’ve thought the greens would’ve been in better shape considering the amount of rain we got all spring and through the middle of July.

As iwyLSUiwy stated…the rough was brutal. Thankfully I drove the ball extremely well, but my playing partner wasn’t quite on with his driver and we had difficulty finding a quite a few of his drives.

Think we’ll give Northwood a shot with our next round.

It's so weird, I think the greenskeeper or someone who cut did something to them.

When you started this thread the greens were pretty dang green and looked healthy. And then one day last week all of a sudden the two I see from my house were almost completely brown. I was like wtf that happened quick. An entire green doesn't turn brown that fast.

Not sure how the rest of the course looks but #8 on Cypress was especially brown.

Pisses me off really that they can't find someone competent to manage it out there and they have Stonebridge looking perfectly fine.

Had a few greens that looked completely baked… I can’t remember the hole numbers, but was definitely more than just a couple.

Used to be such a fantastic course when it first opened and through the mid 2000’s so.
