I hear it’s Squire Creek, but the best I’ve played is Money Hill (over CCL)

Public is La Tour.

I agree, the layout of Money Hill is fantastic.

Condition, pace of play, practice areas, design, god’s country

The only thing holding it back is the lack of clubhouse. It’s currently a quadwide trailer, but has pro shop and bar and grill. New owners have put a lot of money in that place, and it doesn’t look like that will stop anytime soon. So I’d expect a clubhouse in the not too distant future is in the plans

Question about LA Tour....My family lives in Mathews, so I know it's not exactly what you would call a big town. But its right off Hwy 90. What are the crowds like over there during the week, and weekends?

During the week you can more than likely show up and get right out, weekend mornings are usually a little tighter but not bad at all

Food is good as well

Probably hour and 45 depending what part of BR, take 10 to 310 in Kenner, then another 25 min or so

Why do you hate shade and oxygen production so much?

I waste a lot more oxygen when I’m stymied on my tee shot on 6 than those goddamn trees produce

The hole is a par 5 in the shape of a Z

Your biggest qualm is this hole.

It's quite, i dunno emotional..akin to a female. You hang onto it. Just can't let it go.

Obviously, you know about it. It's not a surprise..unless you're riddled with dementia.

Sense,

I gotta agree man. It’s just not a fun hole because of the tee shot, which is a shame, because the green is awesome.

Par 5 tee shots should be a place where you can rip a driver. Should there be a reward for hitting it to one side vs the other? Sure. But to have to squirt a five iron or 4 iron on one particular line so as not to be stymied when there’s tons of fairway out there is just crazy. I can’t imagine any good course architect coming in and saying “this is a great tee shot and this is well designed”

It’s almost universally hated. I’ve never heard anyone but you say they like that hole.

It's a great hole! You can definitely rip a driver, from any tee.

You have to be precise.

Or play for birdie, maybe par.

Not every par 5 should be a straight shot eagle opportunity. That's boring.

No lie, I play The Hill a lot, Dad is a member out there. It’s nice, but I’ve said it before on this board, Ron Garl must play a draw because 5,6,7,9,10,11,12,13,15,17 all favor a right to left ball flight. That’s 10 par 4/5’s in a row. Not ideal.

Because it’s a dumb hole. Any par 5 where it’s possible to hit the fairway and have your back facing the green on your 2nd shot is a bad hole

I’ll still come play your course, but that hole sucks

You have to be surgical to a completely blind target to hit driver. With stoke and distance penalties for missing left and right. It’s ridiculous.
