Cypress Point: High points-was one under thru 10; parred #16 (par 3 over the ocean) hitting driver off the tee. Low point- didn’t break 80.
Lahinch in Ireland: rained on us 3 times in one round; still had a blast.

Sun Valley Golf Course. Robert Trent Jones, tad under 7000 yards and made Golf Digest Top 100 public courses ranking at 75. I've played amazing courses in Sun River, Oregon as well. There's a courose in Mount Vernon, WA called Eaglemont that had extreme elevation change with views of the Pacific and if I remember right Mount Baker from up in the hills. Best views from a golf course I've ever seen.
Playing Torrey South this fall so that will Trump everything. Any recommendations on coastal courses near Seattle or Portland? I'll be there in August as well. How far is Dunes from the airports?
Never played that course but the RTJ Golf trail is in my backyard as I have a house where I grew up in Auburn. Oregon is so great if you can get past the current political noise from Portland. I'm not a wine PhD by any means but I much prefer the Willammette experience to Napa. I also love Pinos.
On golf courses Salishan was great. Manzanita Golf Course is in the same area IIRC and also good. Both an easy drive from Portland.

I'm the OP, so how about we keep it to courses we can all play with enough wallet? Keep the bullshite to your foursome.
Must not be difficult if you know the right people.
Buzzy Haydel just played it with Michael Hollander a few days ago.
Haydel said he shot a 72. No idea which tees he played from, though.

Pine Valley number 1 In the world and for good reason! I have dreams about it often.

Haig Point on Daufuskie Island. You get there by ferry, and it's like boarding a plane. They take and tag your golf bag. I saw not one combustion engine on the island. Everyone getting around in super nice golf cars.
