I have never used spikes, what are the main advantages/disadvantages compared to spikeless?

if you have high enough torque in your swing and there's moisture on the ground there's the potential to slip. Especially with the modern teachings of using ground forces for power. Having said that I've never needed them when it's dry

I have a mid/high swing speed and slip w/o spikes. Far greater traction w/spikes.
