What on earth could he be doing in that video that is an issue
putting something on the face of the club is what it looks like to me. Filling the grooves with vaseline to take off some spin if its a tweener distance? He's got a rep for cheating, so I questions everything that looks suspect.

Using the inside pocket to clean his club with white pants. Seems really smart tbh.
no one would question it if it weren't for his past

I understand his rep, but I am not sure why any pro would not want be able to control spin. I would assume they practice more controlling spin than practicing with Vaseline on their face. I could be wrong though.

I agree. But just because we dont get it doesn't mean it's not being done. I could see where green condition, pin placement, and distance would factor in to tinkering with face of club to get a desired result though. Too much spin and it goes in water... cant go long because of hazard. spitballing.

He is a pga tour pro. He can hit knock down grabbers instead of spinners. Lol. Cmon man. Y’all are stretching this wayyy too far.

While I do think he's had his share of questionable antics on the course this is a stretch. Guy is wearing white pants so he wipes the face with his pocket instead of his pants leg.

He’s definitely better at it now, but it was something he struggled with when he was first on tour.

His wedge game has always been elite.

Yeah that’s a non issue there

Correct. That doesn’t mean he never struggled with spin control.

Controlling spin and true distance control makes a great wedge player. So yes it does mean he never struggled with spin.
