Is a terrible course. I never played it before the renovation and played it for the first time the other day so maybe it was different before. But I can’t believe they moved the Houston Open away from GCoH or didn’t try to get it on any other Houston Area course just so they could put it on that turd. Layout isn’t all that bad I guess, but the greens are just stupid and gimmicky (#2 par 3 especially). Waiting 15 minutes on the tee box on every hole. Losing your ball if it even goes just a foot into the rough. Was just a bland looking course in my opinion. I don’t get the hype and love for it.

Agree on rough. Does not need to be like that other than tournament prep time.

Hardest possible disagree on the greens. I think they are brilliant and fun.

Pace of play is just what affordable muni golf is always gonna be. You have to go in expecting it.

I like it.. shot 75 prior to the pro tourney and was pleased with the layout.

I agree that you suck at golf

I didn’t dislike the course, but hated how crowded it always was and the lottery system they use for tee times.

I haven’t been since they renovated? What did they do about the driving range? It used to be all matts and big nets to hit into because of lack of space.

The only argument you could have had here is layout, and you didn't have an issue with it.

What the frick is relevant about you having to wait during play on a $40 PGA level course?

Gimmicky greens?

How crowded it is sucks but that’s a product of it being the best deal you’re going to find to in the city. I disagree with everything else you posted. And the tournament was so much better this year being in town than out in BFE

The pros hated the course. Good friend caddies on tour and said most did not like it. Jason Day was asked about fairways and said "pretty thin mate". Tyrell Hatton said first and last time he's playing here.

Memorial is also fixing to piss off a bunch of Houston area players with their rate increase. If you don't live in Houston city limits, $120 during the week Mon-Thu, $140 on weekends cart not included
