Range hitting area is much bigger at LT so you’re not on mats all winter. And net vs no net
LTs chipping area is way better than OCC IMO. I despise the OCC chipping area. It has wayyyyy too much slope for a practice chipping green and I’ve never seen the bunkers in decent shape at the chipping area. Also a pain to get to
To me the putting greens are about equal. I think they’re around the same size and in similar locations relative to the tee. Slight edge to occ for grill proximity
Popp is better than cliff in pretty much anyone’s opinion
To me the only occ advantage is the range is closer to the tee/clubhouse

You have a point there. The chipping area is very sloped, probably because of where it is located at the bottom of the property. The practice bunkers have actually been a lot better lately. I would say the good thing about having the sloped area is that you get to practice a lot of different lies, ball above/below feet, rough, etc that mimics what you get on the course. There aren't many flat lies on the course around the greens. But yea it does suck if you're just trying to work on your chipping techinque and the ball is above or below your feet.

LT isn’t a bad facility at all but you combine all the other factors like the high turnover rate of upper level employees (really all employees), difficult to deal with GM etc - makes oakbourne the better club to join

Ask around. Why were the last two superintendents let go? Same for the pros and asst pros. CONSTANT turnover during her tenure tells the story. Either she’s impossible to work for or she has the worst track record of hiring in the history of golf clubs. Based on one of her more recent hires/fires, I would say she’s impossible to work for.
If you want to know about the recorded conversations, ask the group who stays under the trees by the Turn (instead of going into the grill).
Like another poster said, she doesn’t care who you are or how much “weight” you think you have, she will kick you out in a heartbeat if you cross her. I would love to see her get the boot, but it’ll never happen. If it ever does, membership would skyrocket.

What’s the story with her and the owner that he keeps her around?

It could be wrong, but I think I heard her and Mike's wife are besties. Again, I am not saying this as fact but it would make sense.

I don't disagree with all of that.
But I find the range is easily accessible, then right next to the chipping, right next to the putting.
It’s just my practice preference.
LTs course can get a little boring if you only play the blues. But from the golds or tips it plays a lot funner.
Frankly, I’d like to be able to play both but can’t afford that. Lol

i did some research and it is my understanding that the owner has a hardon for her. must be that she is friends with the wife like previously stated.
truth is, the owner doesn't need more money. so i doubt he cares about membership really.
