I’m dipping toward the ball sometimes and hitting it fat.

Any good thoughts/drills to avoid this movement?

All I got is focus on what your shoulders and head are doing. When I swing a 5 or 6 iron, if I don't keep my head still and pivot my shoulders around my head, I never hit the ball square.

Sounds like the ball is far away from you. Have you tinkered with simply moving closer to the ball? Typically, when I start dipping towards the ball, it's because my body is telling me that I have to do that in order to reach it.

Keep your right shoulder and hip higher as you rotate through the downswing. This will give you a shallow angle of attack and cleaner divots.

sometimes before I start playing I like to simply stand up straight with the club in hand and rotate my upper body while swinging the club just like you would a normal swing, only standing upright, and then eventually tilt the spine into my stance and keep that same motion.

Try taking a golf lesson from someone who charges money for it.

Without a club, stand in front of a wall, head lightly touching it. Cross your arms, make a turn back and to just past impact keeping light contact with the wall. Just after impact your head should begin to come away from the wall. At no point should your head crash into the wall
