Looking for some help regarding club fitting

What’s up guys?
I’m looking into getting fitted for clubs but, with anything that’s going to cost me a good chunk of change, I’m trying to do some research. I was hoping you fine fellows could help me out. First, I’m not the greatest golfer. I typically shoot in the 90s. But after reading this board for a while, I think getting properly fitted could significantly help my game out.
How much does getting fitted typically cost? Can I find clubs for my specs at decent price after fitting? Should I get fitted for the whole set or start with a driver and work my way down the bag as my budget allows?
Any and all information is much appreciated!!

A lot of places will deduct any fitting fee if you purchase a set of clubs. They can give you your specs and you could just search on ebay and find a decent set but IMO that's kind of a dick move, and may not save you all that much money. I will confess I did it once with a driver because I didn't want to spend $500 on a club, ended up finding the same thing on ebay for $280, but also had to pay $125 for the fitting fee so at the end of the day it was still over 400 bucks.

I went to Nevada Bobs in Covington. Got fitted for Driver and irons. I purchased what they recommended that day and was not charged for the hour or so I was there hitting.

I’ll be going to an Edwin Watts in Shreveport. Is fitting more for the shaft or the length of the club or the loft? I really know next to nothing about this.

And don't get burned out.
Don’t know how I could get burned out lol. I’ve got the itch BAD right now. All the courses around here are closed to the public. I’m excited just to go thru the process even if I won’t be purchasing anything right now. But I will be in the near future and I have some time off soon. Going to get fitted at least gives me some sort of way to “golf.” Just trying to find out as much as I can about the whole process so I can make the best decision possible.
