LIV Teams

Blah blah the team names are kinda lame. Ok. Let’s talk about the actual teams though.
Team captains for LIV Boston are:
Phil Mickelson
Cam Smith
Brooks Koepka
Dustin Johnson
Lee Westwood
Sergio Garcia
Bryson Dechambeau
Louis Oosthuizen
Kevin Na
Martin Kaymer
Joaquin Niemann
HV3 (Bubba Watson)
I don’t think it’s been announced, but It seems like HV3’s team (Niblicks GC) is probably Bubba Watson’s team for next year. Edit: this has been confirmed.
Do you think Niemann will pull his own team for the ‘23 season?

I figured Patrick Reed would be good enough to pull his own team, but he seems okay with being on DJ’s team for now. 4 Aces seemed like on of the most stacked teams, but now the Australian team (Punch GC) is almost just as intimidating.

I saw a graphic of the teams earlier that had Bubba listed as the captain for that team and just noted him as "not playing".

Nice.
The more I look at it, the more I think Matsuyama is still joining LIV to run the Japanese/Asian team (Torque GC).
I think he/they just wanted to play in the presidents cup & it didn’t matter to Smith, Niemann, & Lahiri.

He turned down $300-400 million already and they dropped all of the Japanese guys off the roster this week. All the stuff I've seen and heard there's no indication he's just waiting. We'll see though

There is no Japanese team. They all kicked out when Matsuyama said no. He's not going

They’re still on LIV’s roster, they’re just not in the field for LIV Boston.
Tanihara, Kozuma, Kinoshita, etc
I just don’t see Kevin Na having the only Asian team (iron heads) & not sure if Niemann pulls his own team.

There's absolutely going to be a Latin American team
Neimann, Mito, Carlos Ortiz, Ancer

I haven’t seen a direct quote or statement from Hideki, just the media saying he turned down their offer. Looking at the president cup roster, it just seems like there could be some guys who are holding off until after so they can play.

That’s Sergio’s team
Come on dude. No shite, Na is an American citizen. Iron heads is obviously an Asian team.

I agree. Hideki is just such a huge domino, you'd think there'd be some smoke, but who knows. I personally put it at less than 50% he goes, but that's just my guess

Sergio will be on a Spanish team
Sergio, Chacarra, Larrazabol, Otaegui, Puig
All Spanish

If true, that is crazy. There aren't many people that would turn that down and rightfully so.

Idk. We will have to see how it plays out. Maybe they will keep Sergio’s team (fireballs) consistent for the rest of this season & then move guys around for the 23 league.
Larrazabal hasn’t been included since the first event & Otagui is currently on Niemann’s team

That's crazy. You never see guys like Brady doing press without his O-line. Are these guys team players or not?

Just saw a Anti LIV Golf commercial on The Golf Channel citing 9/11 Saudi terrorists and American families.
