This seems like a war both sides didn’t like their current positions and they split the baby down the middle

I thought it was interesting rewatching the video and JM was asked "what do you say to the fans and players that will say the PGA is being run by the Saudis now?" Probably don't have that quote exactly right but that was what he was asking. JM doesn't say that it will not be run by them. He went to the same ol this will be good for golf answer. Which it will, but that's not denying that the Saudis will now basically run things. He could have clearly denied that and said that's not the case but he didn't. Yesir was sitting there smiling at that question.

LOL, NO. It all started when Norman found an entity that had unlimited funding to offer enormous contracts to lure some of the PGA players to LIV.

This isn’t true. Before Norman and the Saudis started putting this together a group of players went to the PGA and proposed some “elevated” events that the players would own 50 percent.

Monohan and the PGA attorney laughed in their faces and said “any tournaments not 100 percent owned by the PGA will be considered hostile”.

Well congrats Jay. Now every tournament is not 100 percent owned by the pga.

o one was really complaining about lack of compensation from the PGA before the Saudis started offering these ridiculous contracts.

Again. This just isn’t true.

You cried about LIV all day every day. So much so that you self banned yourself from posting in LIV threads.

I have zero problem with Jack. Everything you said is true. It doesn’t change his comments about the LIV players and his backtracking.

Before the Memorial he was asked about the LIV players and he said: “I don’t even think of those guys as part of the game of golf anymore”

And? He said that because they were playing a tour he didn’t see as a part of professional golf. So what today makes those statements look bad?

Dude, you're just talking out of your arse now. It's pretty easy to be informed on this, just google next time.

Random thought, the 9/11 families united organization just bashed Monahan. Yeesh, not a good look.

Literally everything. It was bizarre. I mean you even recognized your obsession at one point. You self-banned from participating. You were very emotional.

I guess it just took 7 days and a merger for those guys to be in the world of golf again.

No, all it takes is for them to come back and play the traditional tour events. Are they going to do that? If yes, he will see them as part of golf again

And? Those players and LIV were trying to destroy the tour he helped create. I'm sure behind closed doors he is mad about this merger but also knows deep down it is the right move. He also probably knows that this isn't the tour he created anymore and it hurts. Jack has done so much for golf to even get to this point. They should all be thanking him.

Well that’s a petty take on his part. I’m not mad at him or expect any apology to those players. I just think the emotional reactions you, Rory, and jack had were comical. Emoting over where a man decides to earn a living playing golf is not healthy.

Then he should be furious at Monohan for not paying the players and laughing in their faces when they approached him with a proposal.
