Oh wow, going all-in. Good luck on your rebuild.

I was a 2.0 when I was playing and practicing a ton in my late 20’s. 40 now, and I’m around an 8. I need to get back working with a good teacher….I haven’t had a lesson since Shaun left.
Interested to hear your feedback after the lesson with Chad.

You also get full access to 265 for the day. Use it and enjoy it.

That was worth every bit of the $300. He fixed moves in my swing I’ve been trying to self correct for 15 years. The biggest was I had really high hands at impact making my impact lie angle around 75 degrees. By the end of the lesson, it was down to 65 degrees, I was hitting a baby draw and I felt like every ball I hit was going to be off the center of the face. I immediately scheduled another lesson in a month to take time to really do the drills at home he gave me.

Just updating this after lesson number 3 and my round at Torrey coming Wednesday. I can’t recommend Chad at 265 enough. He’s completely rebuilt my swing and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I’m hitting the ball so much better with an attack angle and dynamic loft on my wedges creating the consistent contact I was looking for. We worked on short game and putting too. He introduced concepts I’ve never been able to grasp and made them easy to implement. At first it was like Mr Miyagi and paint the fence, sand the floor, etc, but when we did a final run through of the bags yesterday, the dispersion rate from target was so much better.
I’ve never been more excited for golf and that’s a big statement for me as I’ve been playing weekly for over 30 years now since I was 11.

The La Jolla area is my favorite place in the country. We try to spend a couple weeks a year there.
You playing the North or the South course?

South course. They’re expecting a half inch of rain overnight stopping at 3am then it’ll be a 15 mph wind. How does the course handle rain? Meaning how likely are they to close it?

I don’t think half an inch will affect much. They certainly won’t close the course over it.

Cool. I didn’t think they would but you know the things one worries about when it was so hard to get a tee time and there’s no chance of rescheduling

Fiddy, I am glad you are having success. When you express your pleasure with Chad, do you equate him to a Brian Manzella and Rob Noel level? I have a friend in north Louisiana who was considering traveling to south Louisiana for lessons with Rob or Brian, but Chad would be much closer. Thanks.

I’m not familiar with the south LA golf scene so I don’t know those names. Chad doesn’t have any tour players but he has lots of mini tour guys. Phillip Barbaree was the lesson before me last month and Chad sometimes goes with him to tournaments. For me, it’s just that he made everything so simple and easy to understand. Also he has all the analytical tools he used with me. Let me see immediately what I was doing that’s not always captured on video when you’re swinging 90-100mph.
ETA: He’s worth every penny of his $150 an hour rate. Then you get full access to the 265 facility that day plus one more for every hour for if you have a day you don’t have a lesson and just want to practice.

Chad is good enough to teach any amateur around in my opinion.

Athletic Motion Golf (Shaun and Mike) provide a ton of really great free content on YouTube. They are evidence based in their approach and dispell a lot of myths in the golf swing. Has definitely helped me a lot, I would check them out
