This came up in conversation. Has anyone played here and how is it?

What was the conversation?

I played it a couple weeks ago for the first time in years and I wish I could play it every day

It’s a good course, but I prefer Oakbourne

I played oakbourne a couple months ago and I agree with you. But after playing both of them my opinion was I would rather play LT everyday and oakbourne every now and then. At LT I feel like I can score well pretty consistently but at oakbourne I would throw up some huge numbers. I wouldn’t want that course kicking my arse everyday. And fwiw I shot 82 both of those rounds

I found LT better than I expected the time I played it. Played Oakbourne a few times and it's good but not as good as everyone talks it up

I have a buddy that’s been a member for a few years and I’ve gotten to play it with him 10-12 times. It’s an interesting layout with some really strong holes. The conditions have gotten better the last few years. They’ve hired a better super and redid the greens in the last couple of years which has really made a big difference. Also find it’s a local-knowledge course... the more you play it, the more you learn where to hit it and where to miss.

If you ever have any issues go complain to the general manager. She is a delightful person.

Difficulty of the course really depends on tee box choice and wind conditions, which I realize is true everywhere, but is magnified at LT. For example, #13 is a par 4 that, in a prevailing south wind, is brutal from the tips, with water in play on both shots. One year on the Web.com tour, it averaged 5.5 strokes and was the hardest hole on that tour.
