Just got my Snell test pack.

Excited to give them a shot and decide between the Black and MTB X. From everything I’ve read, I think the black might be the right choice for me. Anyone else make the switch to Snell?

I play the MTB X, by far my favorite golf ball and I was a ProV guy before. Thanks for the reminder to buy some more.

Valid. It’s a very different feeling ball, especially if you’re coming from a Pro V. The first time I played them I felt like I wasn’t catching them well. It’s a stiff solid feeling very different from the soft-ish balls I’d played before. It definitely takes some getting used to
But for me, the short iron spin is incredible. It jumps off the face.

I play the Black. I've tried a few of the MTBx and it wasn't for me. I get better distance (a few yards) with X but I notice it doesn't check as well FOR ME around the greens. Such good balls too.

I've been playing the MTB-X since late summer. I don't know that it's appreciably longer off the driver than similar balls, but it's definitely half a club to a club longer off my irons. It spins great on full shots into the green, and well enough on chips and short pitches. What I give up in partial wedge spin, I gain in accuracy.
Haven't tried the Black yet. Perhaps I should get one of those test packs.

The mtbx was stopping 2x as fast as the black on the green. But I didn’t like how the x performed when hitting into the wind. It really ballooned up
