I figured it was time for an upgrade. I've been using Hogan Apex Plus that I bought a LONG time ago. I don't play enough to hit them well even though they do have a game improvement element to them. Iron technology has certainly improved in 20 years

Pretty excited!

Got them off GlobalGolf for $311 which I thought was pretty decent. Waiting for them to ship.

What kind of condition are they in?

I thought I remembered seeing that the M3/M4 clubs had issues with the faces caving in

They are "very good" condition.

From what I've read, the M2s had issue with their faces caving in, but it seems to have been corrected in the M3/M4 line.

Also, Taylormade allegedly has really good customer service and may provide new clubs if that's an issue. May not be true.

Bought some M4s last May and they have been good to me. I was playing with some old Cobra SZs with a regular flex shaft before getting fitted. Gained 15 yards but I also took some lessons and corrected some serious swing issues. Anyway I have enjoyed them.

I went on vacation and didnt bring clubs. Ended up using a full set of M4s that they offered for free at the course.

It opened my eyes to how substandard my clubs were

Who did you take lessons with? Aren’t you in Zachary?

Rented a rental set of M4’s at a course in Orlando a couple weeks ago and loved them. Currently hitting Calloway R22’s... going the used route also if I make the change

Thanks. I thought he was ok when I went to U Club. Chris B helped me out once but he is poor responding to texts and didn’t call back. Figured he doesn’t need the business. Was hoping you had someone in Zachary you tried out.

Out here you could maybe get Trez Simmons to if he has time but he has a full time job. I see Chris B mentioned here a lot. But for a good teaching pro I think you have to go into BR. Maybe Tom (Italian last name?) at Beaver Creek?

Playing M4 irons now and they have added 10-15 yards of distance.

The lofts are stronger on the M4s than traditional irons, which may be part of the reason why you're seeing increased distance depending on what you were hitting before. But some of that is definitely the game improvement aspect of the clubs.

Mine don't ship til tomorrow.
