Junior golf driver help

My 7 yr old son is getting obsessed with golf, he wants to go to the driving range at the club all the time, plate 9 holes with me (teeing off from 100-125 yds), he loves it.
He’s got US-kids clubs that are fine and wedges/3wood that are the right size for him. His driver however is too small and it’s old. I want to get him a new driver, I know how much a good driver can help your game and how much he would LOVE having one. But I also am not looking to spend $500 on a 7yr olds driver…
Anyone know where I can get a good used kids driver that isn’t going to bankrupt me?

How tall is your son? Mine is 10 and a little over 5ft. I bought him one of those Snake Eyes kid sets and the driver is perfect for him.
Think I paid a little over $300 for the full set

He’s only 7, he’s 4’5”
He doesn’t need a new set his irons fit him fine but I’ve seen the snake eyes they look good

I'd venture to say they're on par with US Kids, and the lines from all of the other big boy club manufacturers.

US Kids sells everything individually on their website, they have a TOUR SERIES driver that is pretty good. Not terribly expensive. All US Kids is fit by height.

The only choice in my opinion

Probably needs a fitting.
The head might be Cobra/Titliest/Ping/TM/ Callaway, but he will need an upgraded shaft.
I’d also check with McLaren to see when their driver might be available.
J/k, I’d look for used US kids clubs on Facebook market place.

To echo what others said, easiest route is US Kids.
No need to spend a ton a money on a club he could easily outgrow in a year.

Ping ProdiG is WAY better than US Kids.
My boys have been through multiple sets of US kids and they’re not even close to the pings.
They will also extend length once for free when you buy them new.
Cost is more upfront, but long term ownership cost is less than switching us kids clubs every year.
I just moved my 8 year old out of us kids and into the pings.
My 11 year old has had them about a year. Out of the box the shafts are better, heads are better, and they’re longer.
I would say just spend the money on the pings, extend them a couple times, and then when they’re 13-14, move into adult clubs.

In order to get the reshaft perk you must buy 5 clubs at once. The Prodi G is awesome but the whole set (5) clubs may not be what he wants to spend. I did think the US Kids newest driver would be a little cheaper. It's $249.99 so its pretty expensive as well but the new tech is solid.

Do you have any idea on how old of a ping prodi g driver I can buy and still get the new tech? I know I am being a cheap arse, but I still don’t like the thought of buying my 7 year-old a $250 club.
