It was closed from high water a few weeks before the flood. Idk how high it is there now but it can’t be too low. Just looked at their tee times for tomorrow and it seems a little off that they have so many still available

I called today and heard their course conditions recording. Only the back 9 is open and number 12 is the only hole CPO

Normal? Not if there’s as much shite underwater as I think for that long. I saw what #6 looked like 6 weeks ago and the fairway was submerged around the pond on the left side. Gotta think #3 is jacked up. Maybe 4 & 5 too.
Playable? Maybe. I noticed the water has dropped a good bit on i10 near there so maaaaybe this water is finally retreating? Idk, don’t look much different on bluff

Front 9 is technically open, but you play the back 9 first.

1 and 2 are fine. Water up way right on 1.
3 has a new water feature in front of the tee boxes. Not in play. Lake on right has places where it creeps up a little closer to fairway.
4 is fine until you get to the green. All the sand from the bunker front left has washed out from there to Bayou Manchac on the right. Don’t miss short.
5 is the same. Bunker washed out. Lake is at the top of the bulkhead. Don’t miss short.
6 is fine.
7 is playing as a par 3 (135). It’s in bad shape. Green is going to need some work. Bunker washed out, water still in fairway.
8 and 9 are fine.

Greens are firm and fast right now, with the exception of 7. That one was obviously underwater for an extended period of time.

We played yesterday, started on 10. Played front 9 - the second par 5 on front 9 was converted to a par 3.
Water is till high.
Parts of front 9 smells like arse.
It worked out fine.

Played on 5/31 as well, Lake Santa is going to take quite some time to be all the way back to normal. Can't imagine that brec had something stowed away in the budget for something like this.

Wonder if they will still play the State Am qualifier there or move it.

Obviously they could move it to Beaver with little interruption as long as nothing is scheduled at Beaver on that day.
