I’m not sure shooting 70 is considered wilting. I don’t think he played overly well but he played well enough to win. Berger was unworldly today snd shot 65. Not many people were going to keep up with what Berger did.

It’s putting, you can only be so accurate, then you need some luck. He wasn’t missing 4 footers

He didn't play remotely well enough to win, only player in the top 10 not to break 70 today, only player in top 5 to shoot over 68.

1 and 2 shot 65 and 66 respectively. Very poor showing

Tap the breaks. It was not his day, but that's golf. He was under par and finished top 5 for the second consecutive week.

"Back"? No, but definitely on a good trajectory.

He lost by 2 shots i believe. He had numerous putts burn edges and nothing seem to fell for him today. Yes, he played well enough to win. Unfortunately some just didn’t fall. It’s good. Berger took that tournament. Spieth imo didn’t lose it.

Yea. He has back to back top 5s. He will need time to get over those nerves off the tee with his changes on the final round. The guy is back tho. Will win multiple times this year.

missing greens with a pitching wedge was his main problem, all the speith nutrients are acting like he was a few lipouts from winning this thing, thats just not true.

What is a "Spieth nutrient"? I can't get my head to the pejorative that auto correct takes to nutrient.

And you just sound bitter with a touch of jealousy with this rant.

Again, might not be back, but he's moving in the right direction and I'm pulling for him.

autocorrect from "nutriders"

Look I'm just saying that its dumb to say "he played well enough to win yesterday"

I hope he recovers his form and wins many tournaments, he's good for the game.

He finished 3 strokes back, so he LITERALLY was 3 dropped putts away from tying and 4 from winning.

IMHO Speith succumbed to the desire to add distance leading to a two way miss which doesn't / won't work on the PGA Tour.

Can he return to the chicken wing swing that won 3 majors?

That’s the opposite of what he did.
