get fitted, where in nashville i dont have a clue. if you are gonna drop $ on something you will use for at least a few years, and your case maybe longer, you would be wise to get a fitting.

If pops is paying for it, get fitted for a shaft. That’s where the biggest benefits will come from.

I’m a high swing speed and high launch guy too. Had a stock shaft in my last driver and after getting an after market shaft, my spin rate is down and launch angle is down. Actually getting a little bit of roll out for a change and more control while adding 20 yards.

FWIW, I’m an experienced golfer and I know about the benefits of proper shaft fittings and club fittings. I just haven’t kept up with the new tech the last 4 or 5 years.

I played a lot competitively younger and my driver has an unbelievable Graffaloy shaft that is perfect for me. I’m hoping to get the newer version of that. I think I’ll bring it in and hit it as well.

And I’m 29 and my dad still gives me Christmas presents. Is that weird? Because I don’t care if it is.

Yeah, bring your old one with you.

You will end up with the ping, m1/m2 or epic and then the shaft.

Not weird that your dad still gives you shite for Christmas. That’s what parents are for. At least, that’s what I tell myself

Just going off a few of the numbers I've seen out there. Most people's spin numbers increased with the driver. Didn't hurt some as much as others. Shields absolutely crushes this driver fwiw

Didn't he make a point about how easily the spin numbers jump way up when you hit it center/low on the face?

Stinger from the waste bunker followed by a club twirl.

Any fans of the 917 D2 from Titleist? I'm reading up and this seems to be something I'd enjoy.

Regardless, I'm going to Golf Galaxy Saturday for a fitting appointment. We'll see how it goes.

Make them let you hit everything. Some fitters try to push one brand.

It’s free and I just want to hit the new drivers.

There is a place here called Legends Club that I think I’ll go to once I whittle down which drivers I like the look and feel of.

Because they're on staff. They won't tell you that though.

I know plenty enough to not listen to these guys. I want to see my swing speed, launch angle, etc.

And it’s look and feel are hugely important to me with a driver

Oh I'm definitely bringing my old driver...don't worry. I need that baseline.

I still really like my old driver, its just 20 yards short of new technology and it's not nearly as forgiving.

But shaft kick point, loft, etc. are all wonderful.
