you mean a television company who's sole purpose is to sell ads. Prioritizes the more bankable star a 4-time major with with 21 overall PGA wins. Over an LSU guy that has 4 PGA victories total in his career. You've got to be kidding me.

Its sad, worst Major coverage I can ever recall. Joke
This. I could only handle a little bit of it. I hope LIV gets creative with their coverage and forces some competition.

NBC have a constant white noise in the background to anyone else? Like a jet flying by in the distance? When the announcers talk or interview someone the background noise is as loud or louder than their voices?

This is more on the USGA (and other organizational bodies) they need to write in their contracts the commercials limits. Yes, that means less TV money per event (in theory anyway). The advantage to that is to gain overall viewers and sell the product for the next TV contact. I have no doubt the viewing numbers were negatively impacted by the amount of commercials.
FIFA doesn’t allow commercial breaks in the middle of a game/match and they seem to do just fine. F1 too.
This is the chase of the almighty dollar but at some point it starts working the other way.
As an example - personally I can not watch Monday Night Football because of the commercials. If I really want to see the game I’ll watch it on delay. Now if it was commercial free or limited to quarters I’d probably watch every MNF.

that's completely fair, I saw a comparison of LIV television stats vs the PGA on their head to head weekend.
first half hour of the broadcast
LIV
60 shots shown (not including tap-ins)
no commercials
2 pre-produced packages
PGA
33 shots shown
1 commercial break
11 pre-produced packages.
I'm just meh on the LIV and prefer the PGA but admit that is a better televised product currently.
But if PGA has to compete will this cause the majors to step their game up when they pretty much have monopoly time will tell.
