LIV might work internationally but I don't see it ever doing huge numbers in the states.
What makes you think they won’t do it in the states?

This isnt a sprint. Saudi's are here for the long run. They've wounded the PGA by stealing away 1/3 of the US PGA star power. The Majors will be the next sacred cow that LIV will take down starting with the Masters and the Open.

How long has the WNBA been around and the Saudis have way more money than the NBA.

The Saudis make about 200-300 million a day. Do they really care?

No they currently do not care

They will care in 5 years when no one is talking about LIV, this whole argument is out of the media, and they are faced with ponying up another $150 million cash for the next best player. They are going to ask why they are doing this when they can just go buy another soccer club.

Soccer is the biggest sport in the world. Golf is a niche American sport. You can fracture the fan base of a niche sport and win long term.

They took away a few good names but I would say only three currently relevant players: Dustin Johnson, Cam Smith, and Bryson DeChambeau. The other name guys are on the back half of their careers. I’m happy that LIV made the PGA tour uncomfortable, the PGA needed a change and a push in a new direction, but I’m tired of the LIV media trying to constantly tell me how awesome LIV is. And Patrick Reed out here suing everybody isn’t helping me care anymore. Go your way LIV, let the PGA go theirs.
