Me and my 17yo son are going to Houston to watch the PGA tournament on Good Friday and want to play a round of golf on Saturday before heading home. We have a tee time scheduled for The Golf Club of Houston, formerly known as Redstone, home of the Shell Houston Open before they moved it to Memorial Park. Looks like an awesome course but is there another public course that any of y'all like better?

Highland Pines is really nice.
Tour 18 can be fun to play if you’re into famous your holes.

Tour18 is a nice course!
Heard Highland Pines was good, but haven't played it.
GCoH is very nice as well!

If you are coming from Louisiana and going back that way, check out Eagle pointe in Mont Belvieu…probably the best value and a fun track.

Wildcat (highlands) will give you some views of the city with elevation. Make sure you have an app because they have blind shots.

Highland Pines is the best public accessible course in the Houston area. GCOH is a great second option as well.
