Hit these 2 today. G425 is incredibly forgiving but at least 10yds behind the Epic Max LS. Didnt get the chance to hit the G425 LST.

Callaway was definitely hotter off the face. I'm getting old (50ish) clubhead speed didn't get over 95. I know, sad. May be time to go regular shaft. Interesting that my fastest ball speeds were with 70g shaft while clubhead speed was slower. Didnt make a purchase.

Is that because you really squared the face and had a pure path with that setup? That weight must really suit your transition and overall rhythm.

I’m not a bomber, but when I hit my best drives it seems effortless. Back and through with musical rhythm. I may need to go senior flex next time.

Hey! There ain’t now shame in getting old as long as your still out there playing.

You’re experiencing the age old conundrum with these drivers. Is the extra 10 yards worth the loss in control? What did the shot dispersion look like with the Callaway?

Dispersion was fine. Will test a few more shafts, hit the Sim2 and TSi2 then make a decision. No rush really

I absolutely love my TSi3. However, it is still not forgiving off the heel which has been a Titleist issue for years. It’s better but not great like Ping and others. Off the toe or center strike, it’s a nuke launcher.

I’m testing the Epic tomorrow, can’t wait. Already hit the new Ping, Titleist and TM drivers. Ping G425 Max gave me the best overall numbers and dispersion so far.

I have hit all of the new drivers and the reality for me is that I could have thrown a blanket over all of the balls distance wise.

But the Ping keeps me in the short grass far better than the others.

Op if you liked the forgiveness of the Ping, hit a 410. You’ll be neck n neck with Callaway but more forgiving

Pretty sure I will be going Epic Max LS, but will give TM and Titleist a shot. Just cant make myself like the feel of the Ping for some reason. Like the sound of a carbon club I guess

Was fit into a PING G425 Max back in late January after hitting most of the new crop of drivers. I'm a low spin player and the Max gave me the best spin numbers, launch angle and dispersion on the GC Quad. Finally took delivery of the driver on Friday. Tensei AV Raw Orange 65 S @ 44.75" in a 10.5° head turned to 9.5° with the backweight in the neutral setting.

Got to play 36 holes over the weekend with it. Did not do any direct comparisons with my TaylorMade SIM, but in no way would I say the G425 Max is shorter. Well struck drives ended in places that I would expect. What was really encouraging was the results when I didn't hit the middle of the face. I hit a couple of necky drives that I would have thought would go nowhere and be big fades, and the ended up only losing 10-15 yards versus a well struck drive and stayed in the fairway. And there were a couple of drives I hit out on the toe that I would have expected to turn into big hooks, yet they stayed straighter than expected.

Reports of really high pitched sounds seem to be greatly exaggerated, at least with premium golf balls. I will absolutely say the sound is very loud and borderline obnoxious when hitting range rocks, but that didn't translate to my TP5 gamers.

Did hit 2 career long drives this weekend on holes I play regularly. One was downwind, so I will kind of give credit to the wind moreso than the driver. But the other was into the wind and I ended up with a flip wedge into a hole I usually hit a short iron or full wedge into. Obviously more testing is necessary, but for my swing, the G425 Max certainly isn't short.

Yep,

Some of the longest players on Tour hit the 425 and are not sacrificing any distance.

Getting fitted for the right shaft makes a world of difference.

Tried the Epic Max LS & Epic Speed today and compared them vs the Ping G425 LST and Max. Ping G425 LST on average gave me better numbers with ball speed and dispersion so I’m going with that with an Oban Hashimoto 65g XS shaft. Distance-wise all drivers were within 5 yards of each other on good strikes. Pings were a little more forgiving.
